About We See Different
We understand the challenges that come with navigating the world of disability. Since 2003, Elena has been navigating disability services and supports, dedicating her life to disability rights activism to ensure equitable, inclusive access for all people within the disability community. India embodies the realities of living with vision loss and multiple disabilities and has become an expert in her field.
India and Elena share a deep commitment to reducing the barriers preventing people from getting the support they need and deserve.
Our Purpose
Our Mission
We See Different envisions supporting people living with vision loss and multiple disabilities to live the fulfilling lives they want. Inviting heart-centered dialogue around disability, collectively imagining new ways of collaboration and transformational change.
“I am the grandmother of two beautiful girls who were diagnosed with LCA; a child eye disease that results in vision loss. The 8-year-old is in the IEP program of the public school system. I felt hopeless and frustrated when I realized that the written IEP goals were not being achieved. After contacting several organizations for the blind, I was eventually referred to Elena at We See Different. Elated by Elena’s empathy, it has been a transformative experience working with her. She has empowered me with the knowledge about what IEP is about and what my granddaughter is legally entitled to.”
